Background:
Brewers Hill Middle is a mixed school for pupils aged nine to 13 years. There are 371 pupils onroll, with rather more boys than girls. The school is set over 36 hectare of playing fields and provides exceptionally spacious and well equipped accommodation. The school has a main hall and gymnasium, whilst outside its on-site playing fields can accommodate a 400 metres running track, numerous hockey, soccer, rounders, cricket and rugby pitches. Many sporting opportunities, clubs and other activities take place either at lunchtime or after-school. The school curriculum covers the following subjects: English, mathematics, science, history, geography, religious education, French, music, art, information and communication technology, technology, sport and physical education, personal, social and health education. The school aims to provide a high quality, well organised education within a broad and balanced curriculum that realises the individual potential of every child.
